Trinity Presbyterian Church was founded in 1965 as an outreach of the Synod of Indiana. The original congregation met in the basement of a drugstore located not far from the present location of the church building.

Trinity has grown over the years in mission and ministry. In the past there have been square dance clubs, coffee houses, a nursery school, and a variety of other exciting ministries at Trinity.

Today Trinity Presbyterian Church believes that mission is job #1. We are engaged in annual mission trips to a new church development we co-sponsor located just outside of Cancun, Mexico. In cooperation with other Presbyterian congregations in Fort Wayne, we are developing Presbyterian Latino Alliance Northeast (PLAN). PLAN currently offers English classes and a Kid’s Club to the growing Latino community in our area. We also, with our fellow Presbyterians, built a Habitat for Humanity Home in 2005, built ramps for persons with disabilities, and supported the Associated Churches and Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.

Trinity also has an extensive music program for people of all capability levels. We have a Chancel Choir, a Handbell Choir, a youth worship band, and a worship band.

Trinity Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), a denomination with a long and distinguished tradition. Through the connectional government of the Presbyterian Church, we are part of the Synod of Lincoln Trails and the Presbytery of Whitewater Valley. Through these denominational ties we engage in cooperative mission and receive and give other various types of support.

Trinity is a church of all ages represented in our congregation. Our theme is "Come As You Are" and we come dressed casually and some formally, we come richer and poorer, we come from many points in the theological spectrum, and we come at different places on our spiritual journey. Even with all these differences, we have managed with God's help to create a loving family of believers who care for one another and for the world around us.

Mission is our number one priority and Trinity is involved in partnership in many local mission endeavors. We work with the Fort Wayne Area Campus Ministry, the Associated Churches, and the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission to name but a few.

As Presbyterians, we cherish the freedom of belief allowed by our denomination. We also share the rich theological heritage of the Presbyterian Church.
